I finished my first day of practicum today, and I must admit that I have never received so many drawings or flowers on one day. These kids are adorable, and oh so sweet. Kindergarteners really aren't my thing, and I don't think that that's going to change: I need kids that I can have dialogue with on a real level, but I think that these kids will be a lot of fun to work with.
I panicked during Carpet Time today, realizing that I only knew one or two students' names, and made it my goal to learn more names by the end of the day. I now know the name of every student who was in class today. I was a bit proud.
It was a good day. I'm excited!

congrats on a great first day, dawn! and i really enjoy reading your posts lately. the salsa one made me smile SO much! i'm glad we get to work saturdays together this semester.
